About Showkot Shawon
Showkot Shawon (born Md Shawkat Islam Shawon) is a contemporary Bangladeshi artist, designer, and poet known for his evocative fusion of surrealism and expressionism.
He completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Drawing and Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. His visual practice explores subconscious narratives, emotional resonance, and the delicate balance between internal psychology and the external world.
Artistic Philosophy
Working across painting, drawing, and multi-disciplinary design, Shawon’s visual language captures raw human emotion through expressive brushwork, bold symbolism, and dreamlike imagery. His compositions serve as a bridge between poetry and visual art—inviting viewers to step into a realm where reality meets imagination.
